Sara Jodoin

Special guest guide · Author · Coach

Making room for your own voice.

Special guest guide Sara Jodoin writes and coaches about self-trust and the expectations women live with. In her memoir, Journey Back to Self: Reclaiming the Woman Within, she describes rebuilding her life and noticing how often she had put herself last. Her work also includes The Return to Self Method, which uses reflection on personal values and everyday choices.

At Sedona Retreat, Sara brings that perspective to guided reflection and group workshops. You choose what you want to share.

About Sara’s book (opens in a new tab)

The Return to Self Method

Sara uses questions about familiar patterns, personal values, and the choices available to you. These questions are explored through group reflection.

  • Recognize
  • Embody
  • Tell the Truth
  • Unburden
  • Reclaim
  • Nurture

Self remains at the center of the method.

More about Sara

Sara grew up in Portugal and later moved to Canada. At thirty-eight, she survived a car accident that left her with a fractured spine and other serious injuries. Recovery involved rebuilding her body and questioning the life she wanted to rebuild.

Movement, yoga, reflection, and spiritual study were part of that recovery. She writes about her experiences in Journey Back to Self. Her coaching and The Return to Self Method focus on women’s experiences with their own needs and self-trust.
